Cavalier Public School – Notice of Candidate Filing Deadline
Notice is hereby given that the deadline for filing to have your name printed on the ballot
for the Cavalier Public School Board election is March 31st, 2025, by 4:00 p.m. The following offices are up for election:
School Board Member – Rural Zone currently held by Courtney Ford (3 Year Term)
School Board Member – City Zone currently held by Rachel Ramsay (3 Year Term)
A candidate for a school district board member office must prepare and sign a document stating the candidate’s name and the position for which the individual is a candidate, and an SFN 10172 Statement of Interests form. Both documents must be filed with the school district business manager for Cavalier Public School by the above filing deadline date and time. All forms are available from the school district business manager’s office at Cavalier Public School or by calling (701) 265-8417.

Botany students presented on a piece of planting or harvesting equipment during our agronomy unit. This project helped students to have a basic understanding of the functions of these machines.

North Valley is excited to share that we are once again offering the North Valley Summer Internship Program.
For those looking to hire summer interns, we welcome your participation in the Summer Internship Fair on Wednesday, April 16 at North Valley. Students from member school districts will bring resumes and be ready for interviews between 10:00am - 2:30pm.
We are asking any employer potentially interested in the 2025 Summer Internship Program to complete the online interest survey AND to create a company profile on Golden Path by Wednesday, March 5. See the comments for the links needed to complete the survey and profile.

NVCTC Career Exploration with 8th graders. They got to hear from keynote speaker Brooks Harper. Then visited with various presenters to get an overview of different career paths.
Congrats to The Pugs (4th place) and The Snowy Readers (5th place) for their hard work and dedication to reading. It was a fun Battle of the Books season and they represented Cavalier proudly!
Reminder to middle and high schoolers we will be collecting money tomorrow for bingo on Friday. $1 per card and students can get up to 3 cards. Bingo winners will get a prize!
Dress up days for the WHOLE school this week. Treats for the middle school of high school class with the highest participation!
Intro to Ag students began their meats until by fabricating whole chickens. Students learned the names of the cuts as well as how to identify the oyster and the tenderloin on their birds.
Fifteen Cavalier FFA Chapter members competed at the Little I CDE contest at NDSU on February 14, along with hundreds of other students. Students learned many new things and gained confidence by trying something new! Students chose to compete in livestock judging, ag sales, agronomy, or small animal care.
