CAVALIER PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION JUNE 3, 2025
The annual Cavalier Public School election will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in the lobby on the first floor of the high school in Cavalier, ND. Voters can enter through doors 1 and 3. Polls open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
Voters will be choosing two directors. One from the Rural Zone (all that portion of the district lying outside the city limits of Cavalier) and one from the City Zone. The Rural Zone position is currently held by Courtney Ford. The City Zone position is currently held by Rachel Ramsay. Filing to have their name on the ballot for the Rural Zone position for a three-year term is Andrew Gilbertson and filing to have their name on the ballot for the City Zone position is Rachel Ramsay for a three-year term.
Voters may vote for “write-in” candidates; however, write-in candidates must reside in the zone they are representing. All voters eligible to vote in the Cavalier School District may vote for candidates from the rural and/or the city zone.

Today the STEM and physics students competed in a cardboard boat regatta. They each designed and built their own boats using only cardboard and duct tape. Owen Crosby came in first place! They all did a fantastic job and provided all of us with a great afternoon of entertainment.😂


Thank you Mr. Fisher for the use of your skull collection too enhance middle school wildlife studies in ag Ed. Students used physical characteristics, such as teeth number, size, and shape, as well as head shape and formation to help identify skulls of North Dakota wildlife species.










Senior Updates
May 21 at 7:00: Baccalaureate
- Students should arrive by 6:45 in the multi wearing black gowns only
May 22
- 11:30 - Graduation pictures. Be dressed in full gown, cap, stole, and cords. Picture order form is available in the office.
- 12:00 - Graduation Practice. Students need to attend practice in order to walk in graduation.
May 25 at 2:00: Graduation
- Students should arrive in the multi by 1:00.
- Each student will have 8 floor seats reserved for families. Placements will be drawn randomly at graduation practice. All other seating is first come first serve.

Hello! We are approaching the end of the school year! The last day of school is this Thursday, May 22nd. We will dismiss at 12:30 pm and buses will leave at 12:40 pm. Thank you for the great school year and enjoy your summer!
Thank you Main Street Floral for your expertise in guiding us on flower choice and project ideas for botany’s floral design unit! Students made simple bud vase arrangements, centerpieces, and even were able to use left over flowers to make boutonnières. More photos on the Cavalier CTE Facebook page.










Thank you Lilly Stegman for teaching botany about tree grafting! Students were able to graft their own fruit trees, plus plant them in the community orchard. We are thankful for these resources for our students!

K-12 music concert will be held on Thursday, May 15th at 6:30 pm. Band students meet in the band room at 5:50pm. All other students arrive by 6:15pm and meet in your classrooms. Elementary students dress in nice clothes. Middle school and high school dress in concert black.
