
The basketball cheerleaders will be doing a face painting and beads fundraiser for Spirit Day this Friday, September 20. This will be available for middle/high school from 8:00-8:25 am with elementary classes to follow.


Before starting our advertising unit, the Ag Sales and Service class visited Jeremy Ratliff's studio. Students were able to see the equipment, got a preview of a job in radio broadcasting, and heard some basics of radio advertising! Thank you, Jeremy, for hosting our class!

Homework Room is starting this week as a way to provide more support to 6-12 grade students. During homework room a Cavalier staff member is available to help students with homework. This is a drop in service available to all students in grades 6-12. Students can go to the HS Library during the following times:
Mornings Monday through Friday from 7:36-8:25AM
Afternoons Monday through Wednesday from 3:45-5:00PM
If students find this time useful, we will add more afternoons as staff is available.

The 12th grade STEM class has been researching and designing a wheelchair accessible bridge leading to the center of the McKechnie outdoor classroom. After completing an initial survey of the area, Leroy Kautz , a surveyor, met with the STEM class on Tuesday to explain how the survey was completed. On Wednesday, Tim Schulte, a civil engineer working at Mayo Construction, met with the STEM class to talk about possible bridge ideas and other alternative options for making the center of the outdoor classroom wheelchair accessible. A special thanks to Tim & Leroy for sharing your expertise and providing valuable insight for the STEM class!





Ag Ed students were visited by an FFA state officer today. Students learned about FFA and all the different things they can do as a member of the organization.

Please join us on Monday, September 9th from 7:50am-8:20am for Muffins with Grandparents . Come to the school lunchroom to celebrate your grandparents or another special person in your life!


Intro to Ag students and Botany students utilized leftover wedding floral arrangements to create their own bouquets. Students were introduced to floral design basics and were tasked with explaining their reasoning specifically for color and texture elements in their bouquets.








Ag students dove right into this school year with a sunflower dissection! For the students this was review, an intro to new material, or a taste of future lab work.











Due to the rain forecast for the rest of today, we will be cancelling our 2024 CHS Athletic Dept. Golf Scramble. Thank you to all who helped plan and organize this event! Hopefully we'll see you all at our tournament in 2025!

Meet the Tornadoes 2024 will be on Tuesday, Aug. 20th at 7:00pm at the FB field. Come early for tailgating sponsored by Polar! There will be parents rules meetings and breakout meetings by each sport to follow the general rules meeting.
