Here is this week's installment of the news. We had some technical difficulties with some of the videos so it's a little shorter than it should be. He hope to have the issues resolved for next week's video!

We want to thank this group of 5th graders that held an assembly for our elementary students today. They reviewed our school rules, virtues, and put on a skit to demonstrate the rules and virtues🧡🖤🌪 We are super proud of them and thankful for leadership!

5th Grade ELA classes hosted a “living” wax museum. The museum showcased students exhibiting as their Alphahawk. An Alphahawk is a feature of CPS character education program; it is a hero that you look up to. Students worked very hard, were pushed out of their comfort zones, and did an extraordinary job! Thank you to the City of Cavalier for allowing us use of the armory, to the grades who visited our museum, to the volunteers and teachers who helped out, and to all the parents who helped their students complete this meaningful assignment. More photos on the Cavalier PTO Facebook page.

Getting excited - only 5 more days until the book fair.

The Scholastic Book Fair is coming!
We are looking for any businesses or parents who’d like to support our Scholastic Book Fair again this year. We were overwhelmed with your generosity last year and would like to continue with our sponsorship program for students. We are also adding a basket raffle to support our school and classroom libraries. If you’d like to donate to either of these great causes, please drop off your donation(s) no later than Friday, February 25th. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Kennedy.
Student Sponsorship – Suggested donations of $10-$15 for a student in need who might not otherwise be able to purchase a book at the book fair. We will create E-Wallet accounts for students and hand them out.
Basket Raffle – Donations of fun themed baskets (Suggested retail $10-$20) that students/families can purchase tickets to win. Some ideas: Movie night, book lover, outdoors/camping, beach, arts & crafts, baking, sports, …
Thanks in advance for your support. See you at the Book Fair!

UPDATE for Candy Grams.
Half of the candy/supplies for the candy grams are delayed due to the weather yesterday. Because of this, they will not be ready in time for Monday. I am hoping they will be here Monday so they can be delivered to the kids on Tuesday.
We do apologize and hope this doesn’t cause any unexpected issues!
