Congratulations to the 2025 Cavalier High School Homecoming Court: Ty Thorlakson, Ryan Pelletier, Evan Yanish, Gunder Kemp, Delaney Denault, Remi Larson, Jocelyn Anderson, and Addi Manley. Coronation for the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen will be on Monday, October 6 at 2:30 pm at the school gym.

Cavalier 7th graders had the opportunity to tour local businesses yesterday. Thank you to all of the businesses for sharing the great things happening in our area!

Dear Families,

Please take a moment to talk with your children about staying off the outdoor classroom bridge until the barriers are removed. At this time, there are no railings in place, and we want to ensure that all students remain safe and avoid injury.

Mrs. Hay’s class was overjoyed to welcome a secret reader on Friday! The excitement on their faces when Mrs. Hartje walked through the door was pure joy. She shared two wonderful books with us, making the moment extra special. We are so thankful to Mrs. Hartje for giving her time, love, and energy to make reading such a joyful and meaningful experience and reminding us to always strive be the best version of ourselves.

A huge THANK YOU to Rick Oasheim, Grace Kemp, Linda Carik, Michelle Murray, and the Stevenson family who donated fresh fruits and veggies to our school! Your generosity helps keep our students fueled with healthy lunch options and shows them the power of a caring community. We appreciate you!

This week 3 Cavalier teams attended the regional Envirothon event held at Icelandic State Park. Students learned about wildlife, trees, prairies, soils, and watersheds in the morning. In the afternoon, they competed in a trail test using what they learned earlier. Our own Dirty Diggers Team placed first at this event!

Cavalier High School English students took a field trip to the Cavalier Public Library last week! A special thank you to Library Director Marie Petry for inspiring our students with a love of learning and showing the power of a public library in our community.

We invite you to come out before Friday's game against Four Winds and enjoy a delicious meal with friends and family. Your participation will directly support the Class of 2026 as they prepare for their Close Up trip to Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a good meal, connect with the community, and help our students have an unforgettable educational experience.

Head out to the football field on Friday for tailgating supper to support this amazing group of students!

Elementary Fun Run. Starting line is near Hole #2’s tee box at Cavalier Country Club. Approximate 6:00pm start time.

Just a reminder as the school year is getting rolling, When attending events at the school, the expectation is to be in the stands during the game! Cheer positively for your team! And remember, no students under 7th grade should be at any event without direct adult supervision.

Cavalier Public School is seeking a highly qualified and motivated School Business Manager to join our administrative team. The Business Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the district, including budgeting, accounting, purchasing, and compliance, while supporting the educational mission of our schools.

Qualifications:

Strong background in finance, accounting, or business administration

Experience in school or public sector finance preferred

Excellent organizational and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with staff, administrators, and the school board
