Due to the current COVID-19 affects in our area, we have decided to make changes to our Parent-Teacher conferences plan. All parent-teacher conference will be conducted virtually. There will be NO face-to-face Fall conferences. Grade 9-12 conferences will again be student-led. Conferences will be held during the week of November 2nd thru November 5th. Teachers (homeroom and WIN teachers) will contact parents/guardians prior to this week to set up a time to meet virtually with your child's teacher. The meetings will be conducted using a Google meet or telephone. We would like to thank everyone for your flexibility and continued support of our school district through these tough times. New COVID guidelines for football playoff games:
* 2 tickets per participant.
* No concessions.
* Masks are required.
* Social Distance.
The FB game will be streamed live on the Cavalier Booster Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cavaliertornadoboosterclub) and will be on the radio (KNDK 1080 AM).
Tickets for the FB game can be purchased by the participant or participant's parent at the school office - $8 each.
They will be for sale from 8 AM until 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 20 and Wednesday, October 21. Tickets will not be sold at the gate on Saturday.

Close contacts at this point have all been contacted by phone. Extra cleaning steps are being conducted in affected area of the building in accordance with state guidelines. Teachers have been notified of students that will be out of their classes so distance learning can be conducted with those students on quarantine.

COVID update: With cases up in Pembina county and a number of students on quarantine, the Cavalier School Board has approved to increase mask wearing at the school. Beginning at 8:30 am today, masks will be REQUIRED for students and staff when in the hallways, in breakfast and lunch lines, and when congregating by lockers, etc. Masks will also be required for all spectators attending events in the gym. Thank you in advance for helping mitigate the spread of COVID-19 to help keep everyone healthy.

This is a test of our new notification system through the new Cavalier school app. Although all school lunches are provided free of charge through December 31st, this program may not continue after that date. With that in mind, we encourage all families who feel they may qualify for free or reduced lunch to fill out an application. The application can be downloaded from the student & parent links portion of our website or school app. You may also pick up a copy at the school office. Hi Cavalier Tornado Fans! The parade fun will begin at 2:15 pm at the Post Office. The road by the school is now open, which allows us to use the same route as in previous years. The pep rally will begin immediately following the parade! Have a great day!
This Friday, the cheerleaders will be selling orange & black beads and waterless tattoos. This takes the place of face painting and students apply themselves. Please see attachment for prices & styles! They will start going around to classrooms at 8:30, starting with elementary, then middle school and high school. Students should have money & choices ready to go so we can make this as quick as possible! Quantities are limited. We hope to make it to every class, but it is not guaranteed! If we sell out before we make it to every class, I will send a message out to everyone.
