As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, former Cavalier Public School teachers were invited for lunch. It was nice to see some familiar faces.
Cavalier school went into a soft lockdown this morning for approximately ten minutes. There was no threat of danger to students or staff, and teachers continued teaching throughout this time.

Cavalier FBLA is going to Nationals in Chicago! Eight FBLA students from Cavalier have qualified for the FBLA National Leadership Conference this summer in Chicago and are looking for your help! We are looking for charitable business donations and the kids are also selling raffle tickets for $10/ticket. Prizes for the raffle are $300 for first prize, $200 for second prize, and $100 for third prize. Kaylee Kemp, Malory Kemp, Jocey Falde, Addi Manley, Shirley Kemp, Piper Kendall, Caleb Muth, and Isaiah Wood will all be competing at the conference are selling the raffle tickets to help fund their trip. If you would like to support these students and would like to make a contribution to this wonderful opportunity, please contact either them or Jason Muth at the school. Donations can me mailed to the school or dropped off in the office. Cavalier FBLA greatly appreciates the community's support!
Thank you to the members of our Cavalier American Legion who came today to show our students in grades 2-5 how to properly retire the flag.
Thank you to the high school students for helping sandbag today! Your help is greatly appreciated by the community.
School will continue tomorrow (Tuesday), and busses will run where possible. High school students were told again to be ready to sandbag if needed. Please bring any work clothes and boots to school in the morning to be ready at any time. The county and city will monitor overnight to determine any need.

Cavalier will be having school tomorrow, Monday May 2nd. School busses will run where possible.
At this point, the city and county are not requesting any help sandbagging however the high school students are willing to help if needed. Students in grades 9-12 please come to school dressed in warm clothes and ready to sandbag if needed by the city or county.
Any students that are not able to come to school due to flooding will be excused. Please communicate with the school and check google classroom and remind for any messages from their teachers.

National Honor Society Awards & Induction Ceremony was last night. Congratulations to the four new inductees as well as all NHS members for your excellence in character, scholarship, service, and leadership
Monday, May 2, 7pm will be the K-5 Elementary Spring Concert. Students will need to be in the gym at 6:45 pm. There is no specific clothing needed, just dress nicely! Can’t wait to see you there!
Girls currently in grades 5-11 interested in Volleyball have some opportunities this summer with open gyms and summer camps.
