COVID update: We currently have 4 positive COVID cases and 11 close contacts associated with Cavalier School. These individuals are on quarantine and isolation. We have also required the remainder of our 1st grade students to switch to distance learning from home as a precautionary measure to help mitigate any further spread. We are still requiring masks in our building as are most area schools. We appreciate the support of our patrons to continue to keep everyone as healthy as possible and continue to keep in-person learning through the remainder of the school year. Please give us a call at the school if you have questions.

The Boys’ Basketball team will be hosting MPCG in a Region Play-in game Tuesday night in Cavalier starting at 7:00. Admission is $7.00/adults and $5.00 for students-prices set by NDHSAA. The game will be live-streamed on the NFHS network. IF we win this game, we will qualify for the Region Tournament which starts next Monday, March 8th at the Betty in Grand Forks. We would be playing in the Evening session. Again IF we win, we are being asked to pre-sell tickets for admission to our session (Evening only). We will have them after the game Tuesday and hope to sell as many as we can at the conclusion of the Play in game. Tickets will also be sold on Wednesday and Thursday at the school. We do have to return any unsold tickets to the Betty on Friday Night. Tickets are $10.00/each. There should be some tickets available at the door, but Tournament management is using this presale of ticket method to eliminate large crowds in the lobby, and this will guarantee you admission to this session. If my information is correct, you will then have to pre-buy any tickets for future sessions of the tournament before you leave on Monday. If you have any questions, please contact us at the school. Book Fair Sponsorship: Please make checks out to Cavalier Public School. Sorry for the confusion.

Become a book sponsor and give the gift of reading. Remember the thrill of getting a brand new book as a child? Cracking open the pages, ready to dive into whatever story lay ahead? Many students may goes years without owning a new book. By becoming a book sponsor, you can change that. Now you can give that same thrill to a student at Cavalier Public School during our Scholastic Book Fair. A donation of $15 is suggested to allow a student the opportunity to purchase a book(s) at the book fair during the week of March 1-4. If you’d like to sponsor a child(ren), please send/drop off your donation to the school office or Mrs. Kennedy by Monday, March 1. Accounts will be set up for students in need. Thank you for your generosity.
