November Stormchasers

Veterans Day

by: Cheyenne Hogue

Today is the day to celebrate all those veterans out there who served both during the war and during the peacetime! Both dead and alive are celebrated on this special day. After the craziness of 2020 things are slowly starting to go back to normal and recover after this crazy pandemic. Most events including veterans day assemblies are starting to go back to being in person and not virtual.

Cavalier School; in Cavalier ND; hosted a veterans day program at 2:00pm on Nov 16, 2021as an all day thing for everyone to attend! Many people loved hearing the choir sing the Star Spangled Banner as well as the band performing as we all gave our thanks and appreciation to all the amazing Veterans.

End of Volleyball Season

By: Nora Crosby

The 2021 volleyball season came to an end for the Lady Tornadoes this November. On November 1 the volleyball players played Thompson in Cavalier and lost in three sets. The girls made it into the regional tournament and entered the tournament ranking fifth in the region. They went on to play Grafton on the eighth and lost in five sets. That game brought the end of the Lady Tornadoes’ season, they ended ranked fifth in the region. The Cavalier volleyball team will greatly miss Lily Crosby, their only senior, but the team is looking forward to what the next season will bring. Carmen and Melissa did a phenomenal job at coaching these young girls this season and we hope they will continue coaching next year and the years to come. And as always thank you to all parents, friends, and students who came out to support the girls during their games this season. Congratulations girls on a great season and good luck next year!
