By: Nora Crosby

When school starts and fall begins this group of teens aren’t thinking of pumpkin spice or football, they have one thing on their mind… cross country! The PCN Grizzlies have been working hard in practice this season and it has shown in their races. The Grizzlies started the season off with a meet in Hillsboro and followed it with another great meet at Northwood. They’ve cheered each other on at Cooperstown and Grafton pushing their physical limits and testing their mental ones. The Grizzlies hosted a home meet at the Cavalier Country Club on September sixteenth where all members of the team competed in the 5k races as opposed to the 3k races some previously ran. Their most recent meet was in Langdon on the 20th and their next meet is in Mayville on the 30th. The team is coached by Bill Crosby. The two seniors Allisyn Tollefson and Brightley Allred are role models for the rest of the team, which consists of Rylen Burgess, Edith Kemp Graesen Helgoe, Eva Robinson, Georgia Evenson, Mason Heller, Devin Dominguez, Bjorn Evenson, Gunder Kemp, Owen Crosby, Sara Jensen, Delaney Denault, Maddy Robinson, Preston Emerson, James Gagner, Emerson Helgoe, and Shirley Kemp.
